CyberStretch Troubleshooting Guide
Windows 95/NT Troubleshooting
If you are running any other screen saver, you will need to
switch it off prior to running CyberStretch. Most screen-saver
applications give you the option of switching them on or off.
In most caes this is all that will be required. If you are using
the standard screen-saver that ships with windows, you will not
need to remove or switch off the screen saver. CyberStretch installs
into the existing screen saver that ships with Windows 95 and NT.
Cannot find "Linker.DXR when CyberStretch launches
On Windows 95, all the CyberStretch modules are stored in a directory
called CSTRETCH. This folder lives in the C:\WINDOWS directory. If
you are running your boot drive as anything other than C:\, then you
will need to make sure that CyberStretch is installed in the WINDOWS
directory on that disk drive.
For Windows NT, most installations required that all system files
live in the C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32 directory. If your system directory
is any location other than this, you will need to make sure that
the following items are installed in that directory:
CSTRETCH - the directory with all the cyberstretch modules
cyber32.exe - the CyberStretch runtime application
cyber32.src - the screen saver launcher file.
When using Windows95 the following files are installed:
C:\WINDOWS\XTRAS
C:\WINDOWS\CYBERSTRETCH.EXE
C:\WINDOWS\CYBERSTRETCH.SRC
The Short Cut does not seem to work.
If the short cut does not appear to work, you can relink it to the
CYBERSTRETCH.SRC file by browsing your directory after trying to
launch CyberStretch in this way. The path to the original file is.
C:\WINDOWS\CYBERSTRETCH.SRC
This may be different if you have installed CyberStretch on to another
disk drive.
Windows 3.11 Troubleshooting
On Windows 3.11, all the CyberStretch modules are stored in a directory
called CSTRETCH. This folder lives in the C:\WINDOWS directory.
When using Windows 3.11 the following files are installed:
C:\WINDOWS\XTRAS
C:\WINDOWS\CYBER16.EXE
C:\WINDOWS\CYBER16.SRC
